Howdy guys so today’s post is me asking a lil favour from you people, I know you’re probably thinking, ‘but Carolanne, we come here to get content from you, not to give you stuff’ well apologies but ya’ll are the best people out there so who else better to get some inspiration from?
I’m really wanting to start reading more this year, well start reading again! I used to be such a huge bookworm when I was younger but growing up I’ve kind of lost touch with my love of reading, which is such a huge shame.
Anyway, at night time myself and Martin usually wind down by laying in bed on our phones and I kind of want to break that habit … my obsession with Tik Tok is getting out of hand folks!
So what I want from you lovely lot are some book recommendations, i’m hoping to get my head stuck into some horror, thriller, psychological type of books and would love it if you could point me in the right direction. Anything that’s gonna have me spooked, getting chills or just saying ‘no way’ is perfect!
If you could leave your recommendations in the comments or get in touch on twitter (@carolannedavies) I would greatly appreciate it and I promise the next post will be my usual, hilarious or make up filled post … deal?
Hey you guys! I know, I know, where’ve I been the past few weeks? Well don’t worry i’m gonna update you all on what’s been happening in my life. First I just wanna start by saying i’m not writing this post because I feel obliged to explain my absence from blogging because I do feel like taking breaks when necessary is actually a really healthy thing for your mind, body and creativity, i’m writing this because my blog is a place where I can freely communicate to all you amazing people and myself things that I might be feeling, loving, hating etc and that’s exactly what i’m doing right now.
I love, love, love discovering new makeup let alone new brands so when I was in Boots (drugstore) the other day scouring for some new products for a video, I came across a brand i’d literally never heard of or seen before … introducing Obsession Makeup London.
Straight away I was hooked and kept circling back to their display continuing to look at their products, I was so intrigued and I mean i’m a nosey person so you know I was on a mission to find out everything I could about the brand, uhm hello cruelty free and Vegan, ya heard me!
Hey guys I hope you’re all having such a great week, what’ve you been up too? Let me know in the comments!
For today’s blog post I wanted to tell you all about a lil range from The Body Shop that honestly, i’ve been absolutely obsessed with, I mean I just can’t get enough. I’m sure you can tell from the title that i’m talking about some of their mango scented products and i’m just here to rave about them because … delicious.
Skincare is literally one of my favourite things when it comes to the beauty/self-maintenance world, hands down one of my ultimate dreams in life would be to have my own skincare range … dream big right?
I’m all about face masks, serums, moisturisers etc, you name it i’m there which makes me super excited to write this post because i’ve been trying out a new clay mask that I wanna tell you all about.
You’ve already guessed by the title that we’re gonna be chatting about one of NYX’s eyeshadow palettes here so let’s just get into it. The ‘Brights’ version of the Ultimate Palette is literally b-e-a-utiful and also something that usually I would shy away from because the colours are so god damn bright (hence the name) and colourful but your girl is being all sorts of brave this year so I thought let’s give it a go eyy.
Hey Hey everyone so I thought I would do something a little different for this post and just sit down with you guys and have a lil old chin wag about some of the Tv shows from the past i’ve been loving again. Now when I say ‘shows from the past’ i’m not talking about the ones your Nanna would have watched like Heartbeat … don’t come at me Heartbeat fans, no disrespect.
Nope, the shows I’m watching are a few good ‘uns from a few years ago that have reared their head on our tv screens once again, so let’s get into it.
I think there comes a point in everyones life when you hear that little bell in your head and are hit with that voice that asks you ‘why do you keep trying?’, i’m referring to friendships of course but tbh all types of relationships can be applied to this.
I’ve never been the type of girl who had one specific group of friends that did everything together, i’m more of a friend here and there sort of girl if you know what I mean? I can count on one hand the number of close friends I have and i’m just fine with that, in fact I prefer it.
For the longest time i’ve wanted to try a matte liquid lipstick, I dunno what it is but they just look so gorgeous and I feel like every time I see someone wearing one i’m like ‘dang gurl’, anyone else?
You’ve heard of Olaplex, right? I mean it’s literally everywhere in the hair care world now and I feel like it just came from nowhere like one minute i’d never seen, read or heard a single thing about it and the next it was blowing up my Instagram feed.
For those of you who’ve not yet came across Olaplex lemme just give you a little sum up of what it is and what it does. Basically Olaplex is a brand with miracle products that helps bond, strengthen, repair and protect hair from damage caused through bleaching, dying etc. and will be found in your hairdressers’ cupboards just sitting there waiting to transform your locks. Now I’m no hairdresser or hair expert so what I’m telling you here is just what I know/been told and have experienced but I’ll insert a link somewhere in this post to their website for more info.
